Snake Photography at Watamu Snake Farm

Capture Stunning Images of Rare Snakes

Photograph a wide variety of both venomous and non-venomous snakes, many of which are rarely seen or impossible to capture in the wild.

Our expert handlers will carefully position the snakes in naturalistic settings within the farm, ensuring your images are as realistic as they are striking—all while keeping safety the top priority. For those who need controlled lighting, we also offer a light box.

I want to thank Carlos, Kyle, and the Watamu staff for an amazing workshop experience. As a snake lover and photographer from Canada, getting to photograph numerous venomous and non-venomous snakes was a unique opportunity. Carlos's mentorship and photography skills were invaluable, making it possible to capture great images. Kyle and his team prioritized my safety throughout, making it a truly thrilling and unforgettable experience.

I planned a trip to the coast and chose Watamu mostly because the Watamu Snake Farm was there. I did a half day photo shoot with the venomous snakes and the whole process was easy and totally exceeded my expectations. Ali and the rest of the staff were super responsive and accommodating. I was invited to scope out the snakes the evening before and select the ones I wanted to photograph. I came back in the morning and spent 4 hours photographing 15 different snakes with the help of Carlos at the camera and Kyle and Ngombo handling the snakes. Defintely a highlight of my trip to Kenya and the coast. I’ll be back soon for sure!
