Emergency First Aid for Snakebites
If bitten by a snake:
Ensure the victim is safe from further danger.
Keep them calm and minimise movement.
Immobilise the affected limb with a pressure pad.
Remove tight clothing or jewellery near the bite site.
Transport the victim to the nearest medical facility immediately.
Do Not:
Apply a tourniquet, cut, or suck the wound.
Use traditional remedies or drink alcohol.
For venom in the eyes (e.g., spitting cobras):
Wash the eye thoroughly with clean liquid (water, milk, etc.).
Avoid rubbing the eye and seek medical advice immediately.
